Your Legal Obligations

Section 15 of the German Packaging Act (VerpackG) obliges manufacturers and distributors within the supply chain to take back and recycle the transport packaging they place on the market. In line with the principle of producer responsibility, the legislator assigns the proper return and recycling — as outlined in the Circular Economy Act — to those placing transport packaging on the market.
