Nature Lends us Raw Materials — It's Only Right to Return Them.
True sustainability means closing the loop. When you license your packaging with us, you get premium recyclates in return – a smart step for the planet and your business.
If you’re going to be sustainable, do it right! With Circular Contracting from EKO-PUNKT, you gain the ability to truly close the loop on your packaging materials — while maintaining full control over your raw material supply.
Based on the volumes of packaging licensed with us, we provide you with an equivalent amount of recycled raw materials sourced from household collections (e.g. yellow bin/yellow bag). These post-consumer recyclates (PCR) can be used to produce new packaging — again and again.
Perfect for retailers and all other distributors who want to take their packaging management to the highest ecological level.
And of course: we not only ensure a sufficient supply of material, but also guarantee consistent raw material quality. In other words, the recyclates we provide through Circular Contracting are precisely tailored to your production needs — and can fully replace the virgin materials you’ve used so far.

Reputation Advantage
Using recyclate-based packaging positions your company as a sustainability leader — and sends a strong, positive message to the market.
We help retailers and companies meet their sustainability and circular economy responsibilities — effectively and reliably.
There’s no doubt – the shift toward greater use of recyclates in packaging production is coming. In 2021, only 11% of packaging was made from recycled raw materials. This figure is expected to rise significantly in the near future. Experts agree that the next revision of the Packaging Act will clearly steer legislation toward greater resource efficiency. Alongside stricter recycling requirements, the focus will increasingly be on expanding the use of recyclates.
A new incentive system is in discussion, one that would financially reward the use of recycled materials in packaging production — with figures of up to €500 per tonne of recyclate in circulation.
It doesn’t take a crystal ball to predict the impact this will have on the market: Post-consumer recyclates (PCR) in particular will be in high demand. And the already limited supply of this valuable resource is likely to become even more strained.
More Than 10% Growth in Recyclate Usage – And the Momentum Continues
Our goal is ambitious: In the short to medium term, we aim to become the packaging partner of choice for retail and industry — offering a complete, no-compromise service. This includes long-term supply security for post-consumer recyclates, even in large quantities.
We can say this with confidence because we began working toward this goal sooner than others. And because, as part of the REMONDIS Group, we already have the perfect conditions in place — including access to the input materials required for recyclate production.
While others are still building entire structures, we are combining under one offering what we have already been doing successfully for years: collecting, sorting, recycling, and designing sustainably.
That’s exactly what we do with EKO-PUNKT.

We bring all stakeholders on board when it comes to Circular Contracting.
If our contract partner is the first distributor of packaging, we also involve the packaging manufacturer or its suppliers. Whether and to what extent Circular Contracting is applicable is always a case-by-case decision. Together with you, we assess all the parameters and then find the best solution. Always.
By the way, even if it turns out that there are limits to Circular Contracting or the use of recyclates, we will work with you to find the right approach. For example, there will still be cases where a complete shift to post-consumer recyclates is not yet technically feasible. In many areas of the food industry, for example, packaging based on recyclates is still not suitable.
But even here, thanks to our expertise as a Packaging Competence Center, we are finding solutions and pathways to greater sustainability. Keyword: Ecodesign and Design for Recycling
